What They Don’t Say Workshops
We talk about consent, sexual assault prevention, how to respond when someone discloses they’ve been sexually assaulted, and bystander intervention in language that people can actually understand and curated for you and your group.

Ray has been organizing to end sexual violence since middle school, after surviving and reporting her own abuse. Today, Ray serves as our Impact and Strategy Lead and the Pennsylvania State Director for the Every Voice Coalition, where she co-authored and helped introduce survivor-centered legislation. A Truman Scholar and founding president of Student Activists Against Sexual Assault at Temple University, Ray has been recognized as an “Iconic Philly Woman” for her advocacy and leadership.
She brings lived experience, policy expertise, and survivor-centered advocacy that challenges assumptions and deepens understanding of sexual violence.
Speaking from experience
Shannon speaks to the realities of trauma and survivorship that often go unspoken: Navigating the military justice system, rebuilding after sexual assault, living through profound loss, and figuring out who you are when the life you expected no longer exists.
Drawing from her own experiences with sexual violence, losing her father and brother, and leaving competitive figure skating after 15 years in the sport, she speaks candidly about healing, identity, justice, and finding a new normal.
Whether it’s a keynote, panel, or community event, Shannon tailors every talk to her audience.
